The MODEL 4700 Stationary In-Plant EMI Pipe Inspection Systems provide the most economical inspection solution for detection of suspected Transverse Flaws, Localized Wall Loss, Longitudinal Flaws and Longitudinal Wall Loss, including gradual wear, in NEW Drill Pipe, Tubing & Casing.

 SYSTEM FEATURES

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  100% computerized system.  No knobs to turn - ever !

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Automatically calibrates all inspection channels.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Transverse Flaw Detection using induction search coils.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Longitudinal Flaw Detection using solid state Hall sensors.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Localized wall loss feature implements eight non-contact solid state Hall sensors.
Non contact design provides a Lower Total Cost of Ownership by eliminating wear and tear !

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  More than 100% circumferential coverage for suspected Transverse & Longitudinal Flaws.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  360 Degree coverage for suspected Localized Wall Loss and Longitudinal Wall Loss, including gradual wear.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Quick inspection speed.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Engineered to be rugged, extremely easy to use and maintain.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  API tubular products thru 13-3/8" O.D. can be inspected (model dependent), with or without tool joints and couplings.  Specify size range when ordering.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Solid State Meter (S.S.M.) Technology derived from our ARTIS series of products.  The digital meters never need calibration !

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Optional computer controlled demagnetizing system.

bullet2.gif (311 bytes)  Optional loading / unloading functions.

 . . . and much more !

there are known conditions / LIMITATIONS WHICH exist when using Induction search coils FOR the detection of magnetic flux leakage in oil field tubular products.  some of these conditions CAN include, but MAY not BE limited to:  NON-LINEAR OUTPUT, OUTPUT SIGNAL AFFECTED BY THE RATE OF INSPECTION, LOSS OF SENSITIVITY ACROSS THE SURFACE OF THE SEARCH COIL SENSOR, INABILITY TO DETECT CERTAIN TYPES OF DEFECTS AND LOW LEVEL VOLTAGE RESPONSE TO FLUX LEAKAGE (ESPECIALLY WITH RESPECT TO INTERNAL DEFECTS).
